The due date has come and gone. So where is our little man cub? Still kickin' around inside me, of course. As of Monday, my cervix has thinned out about 80%, and I'm dilated to 4cm. Donna says everything is wonderful except that my cervix is posterior (meaning it's more toward my tailbone instead of the birth canal), so he's going to be a little overdue, but she'd be surprised if he's not here by next week! My new orders from her; Eat, sleep, and walk up and down the stairs a couple times. Curtis, however, took that as, "Don't let Avery do anything." So yesterday he made me breakfast, cleaned the bathrooms, vacuumed the house, did the dishes, and built us a bed frame. What did I do? Make a smoothie and lunch, did some laundry, checked the emails, and did crafts with the nieces.
The poor little guy is almost here and we still haven't figured out a name for him. We might just have to auction off the naming rights to the highest bidder so that he'll at least have one. Curtis and I got a parakeet last year, and it took us a month to him. A BIRD. How hard is it to name a bird? Pathetic! So who knows how long our little guy will go without a name. We'll just have to call him Kid if he comes tonight.
